Today’s libraries are complex and diverse spaces. Providing a welcoming environment for all means managing a complicated range of challenges, while global issues, such as censorship and book banning, are felt right here at home. Libraries have historically been a safe space for divergent and controversial perspectives, however, none of today’s libraries is immune to vocal opinions and opposing views.

At the same time, new technologies and platforms are expanding opportunities for libraries to be at the forefront of change. There is tremendous excitement for innovations such as artificial intelligence, 3D printing and virtual reality. Providing access to these leading-edge technologies enables everyone in Alberta to experience advancements, and spark imaginations.

It is within this context that we are proud to present the 2024 Stronger Together Conference, October 3 and 4, at the Edmonton DoubleTree by Hilton West Edmonton hotel.

Join us as we welcome 500 attendees from all over central and northern Alberta. The event program will highlight current topics, such as advocacy, artificial intelligence and technology, issues in the workplace, intellectual freedom, governance, and programming.
